Home Away From Home

I have a vintage 1985 18' Wilderness Travel Trailer that I pull with my van (now v8 Jeep).  While small, it has everything from a full bathroom to kitchen.  I am going to slowly, as time & funds permit, remodel it.

It's perfect for show weekends and I thoroughly enjoy it, as do the dogs.  It's our home away from home and we all LOVE IT!  Wish I had done this YEARS ago!!  :)  :)

Evening in the travel trailer at a UKC show in St. Helens, OR (2008).  Kaitlyn- being the queen of Poms :) - at her favorite spot on the stand at the end of the couch.  Sam (facing camera) being Sam.  Emma "waving" at Brianna (out of frame) while I watch a DVD on the lap top.  A nearly perfect evening :)

Dec 2008- My former husband taking pity on me and shoveling at the beginning of our major back-to-back snow storms.  Set an all time record for snow in this region.  It was WONDERFUL!!  :)

My set up at the show in St. Helen's, OR (2009)

My little TT (smallest one at the show.  People kept saying how cute it was :)  with the dogs under blue pop-up.  My friend Christy's site to the left (Beavercreek Poms)

My vintage TT to the right and Christy's vintage 1978 Monaco Class C to the left.  We had a wonderful old Oak that covered both rigs.  It was a GREAT three days!!  Showed during the day (and both of us took turns winning :), then back to the rigs for chips, salsa & barbeque under the tree and hanging out with the dogs.  Life is good!!

12/18/09-- My new baby :)  Well, new to me.  She is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.  5.2 liter V8, fully loaded to include a factory tow package.  LOW miles (91K) and is in pristine condition.  Just perfect for me :)   I loved my van but a V6 struggles to go up the grades around here as our 'hills' are higher than most of the mountains on the East Coast.  I can't wait to take her out with the TT in the Spring!!!  I have never owned a V8 before, this old girl has JUMP  :)  :)

As you may have noticed, I am not a person who needs the latest & the greatest thing out there.  I am perfectly happy with my "older" stuff and not being in debt.  Yep, I don't have the latest bells & whistles, but that is okay with me because I have a GREAT time with what I do :)
